Mitchell is a formally trained Director of Photography for feature films.

He has collaborated as cinematographer with international directors on narrative & experimental cinema, feature-length documentaries (for Weather Network USA/China), music videos, and commercials.

He has extensive experience shooting in Los Angeles, studios and city, in his native Toronto, Canada, and now in Europe & Paris specifically.

Mitchell wrote, directed & shot "I Thought We Were Close,"– shortlisted and featured by the Toronto International Film Festival x Instagram Festival '16.

In 2013 he co-founded an Independent Creative Services Company, Three Chairs, where he directed & shot commercials, as well as designed digital media campaigns for businesses and charities– including CANFAR, Canada's largest HIV/AIDS charity.

Mitchell's photographic film work has featured cities from Paris, Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin & Toronto.
