As Director of Photography, Mitchell has collaborated with international Directors on narrative & experimental short cinema, feature-length documentaries (on climate change for Weather Network China/USA for example), music videos, and commercials.
Previously based in Los Angeles, CA while completing his MFA Film & Television Production ('16) from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, Mitchell now lives in Paris, France.
Mitchell wrote, shot & directed "I Thought We Were Close," which was shortlisted and featured by the Toronto International Film Festival x Instagram Festival – 2016.
In 2013 he Co-Founded an Independent Creative Services Company, Three Chairs, where he directed & shot commercials, as well as designed digital media campaigns for Toronto-based companies and charities– including CANFAR, Canada's largest HIV/AIDS charity.
Mitchell's photographic film work has featured cities from Paris, Los Angeles, New York, London, & Toronto.
